- Paratypes: AMNH 242763 (1); CUMV 92189 (1), 92320 (6, 1 c&s); MRAC 99-055-P-1330-1332 (3).
- Type locality: Okano River at bridge crossing for FOREX logging camp, 0.7165°N, 11.63139°E [1], Woleu-Ntem Province, Gabon.
Etymology: The specific name is patronymic in honor of Dr. Dominique Adriaens, who brought the existence of this species to attention of the authors.
