- Holotype: FUMT 20696.
- Paratypes (11): BSKU 26150, 31722–31723 (2); FUMT 20694–20695, 20697 (3); HUMZ 80182–80184, 80343, 80444 (5).
Type locality: Kyushu-Palau Ridge, 26°45’N, 135°23’E, 350 m depth.
Etymology: The species name edentatus is derived from the Latin meaning “no teeth”.
