Type locality: Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul State, Nicolau Vergueiro, arroio Quebra Dentes, 28º36’09”S, 52º27’03”W [1].
Etymology: The specific epithet procerus from the Greek, means tall, in reference the high body depth of the species.
