• Holotype: MNHNCL POR–15012 (sample number NBP1103–TO104–sponge08), collected by RVIB “Nathaniel B. Palmer” Cruise 11–03 on 31 May 2011.
• Type locality: “Sars Seamount, 59°43.43′S 68°45.38′W, 570–820 m”.
