• Holotype: MNHNCL POR–15005 (sample number NBP1103–DH56–sponge10), collected by RVIB “Nathaniel B. Palmer” Cruise 11–03 on 19 May 2011.
• Type locality: “Shackleton Fracture Zone, 60°16.61′S 57°32.00′W, 1440–1590 m”.
