- Holotype: BMNH 1992.157, adult ♂, collected by Andrew S. Gardner on 2 May 1991.
- Type locality: “an unnamed wadi at 23°04′ N, 57°46′ E, about 1900 m elevation, Saiq Plateau, Jebel Akhdar, Sultanate of Oman”.
