Apricenapiscis depotteri Taverne, 2013

  • Holotype: Ap 14a, b, two sides of the almost complete skull, 47 mm, and a few scattered brain and other bones.
  • Paratypes: Ap 15a, b, cranial bones and scattered body bones.

Type locality and horizon: Santonien supérieur marin d’Apricena, province de Foggia, Promontoire de Gargano, Les Pouilles, Italie du Sud. Le Santonien est daté de 83 à 86,6 millions d’années.

Etymology: The specific name is dedicated to Mr. Hugo De Potter, senior technician at the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium, as thank to the technical assistance brought to the author for his work for many years.
