Holotype: MCP 12096, ♀, collected by the faunal rescue team in 2000.
Type locality: “Manso multi-use reservoir and hydroelectrical power plant – locally known as APM Manso – constructed at the confluence of the rivers Manso and Casca, Chapada dos Guimarães (15°27’39”S, 55°45’00”W; 811 m.a.s.l.), Mato Grosso, Brazil”.
