- Holotype: WAM R29623, adult ♂, collected by Robert B. Humphries on 3 September 1967.
- Type locality: “"The Loop" [35 km north-east of Kalbarri (27°33'S; 114°28'E)], lower Murchison River, Western Australia”, Australia.
