- Holotype: MHUA 10537, adult ♂, collected by Juan M. Daza on 2 April 2000.
- Type locality: “Vereda La Cejita (6°30′4″N, 75°11′31″ W), Municipio de Barbosa, Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia, 1850 m”.
- Paratype: MHUA 11254, juvenile ♀, from “Vereda El Retiro (6°59′13″N, 75°8′15″W), Municipio de Anorí, Departamento de Antioquia, 1700 m approx”, collected by Eliana M. Muñoz on 31 March 2004.
