Type locality: Managua, Lake Asososca Managua, 12°08.390’N, 086°18.792’W [1].
Etymology: The specific name relates to a pre-Columbian culture in Central America that was probably responsible for a mural painting of a feathered serpent, called Quetzalcoatl, close beside Lake Asososca Managua. According to a folk tale, the deist pictogram guards the lake.
