• Holotype: CNPGG-1534, collected by German Yañez Mendoza and Fernando Calderón-Gutiérrez on 21 October 2015.
• Type locality: “El Aerolito anchialine cave, Cozumel Island, Quintana Roo, Mexico; coordinates: 20°27.967′N 86°58.683′W; water depth: 17.6 m”.
