- Type locality: VENEZUELA: Bolivar, Canaima.
- Holotype: Guillaume de Rougemont private collection, ♂, 11-12.II.2006, leg. G. de Rougemont.
- Etymology: The new species is dedicated to the Staphylinidae specialist, Guillaume de Rougemont, who gathered the specimen.
