  • Holotype: CMNFI 1979-0281.
  • Paratypes: CMNFI 1979-0281A (164).

Type locality: Stream in Simareh River drainage, 5 kilometers south of Nurabad, 34°03'30"N, 47°57'30"E, Lorestan, Iran, elevation 2000 meters.

Etymology: in honor of Nicolaus, referring to sons of both authors, Nikolay (Bogutskaya’s eldest son) and Nicholas (Coad’s). (From The ETYFish project)
