Holotype: BMNH 97.5.5.14, adult ♀, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Lower Cachi,” Salta, Argentina; it is likely that Thomas referred to the lower course of the Río Cachi, which passes through the town of Cachi (25°07′11.93″S, 66°09′47.00″W, 2,341 m, Salta province), close to the junction with the Río Calchaquí (Jayat et al. 2010).

Holotype: BMNH 19.2.7.44, adult ♂, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Otro Cerro,” Catamarca, Argentina; clarified as Otro Cerro, 28°45′S, 66°17′W, 2,023 m, Capayán, Catamarca, about 4 km SSE of Cerro Catalán by Pardiñas et al. 2007).

Holotype: UNLP 5684, adult ♂, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Laguna Blanca, Catamarca (3,100 m de altura),” Argentina.

Holotype: IADIZA-CM 611, adult ♀, skin, skull and partial skeleton.
Type locality: “Argentina: Mendoza Province: Departamento La Valle, La Pega (32°48′S, 68°40′W),” an old winery NE Ciudad de Mendoza.
