- Holotype: TM 18094, adult ♂, collected by V. Fitzsimons on 25 August 1937.
- Type locality: “Little Namaqualand, 32 miles from Springbok on the road to Kamaggas”, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
- Paratypes (n=10): TM 18095–18104, six adult ♂, two adult ♀ and two juveniles, same data as for holotype.
