Holotype: TM 81262, adult ♂, collected by R.E. Newbery on 25 June 1982.
Type locality: “Mariepskop, 24°32′S, 30°53′E, Pilgrim's Rest District (2430 DB), Limpopo Province, Republic of South Africa”.
