Type locality: “near Tejocotes, Oaxaca. ... Tejocotes is situated at an elevation of approximately 2400 meters in the Sierra Madre del Sur, near latitude 17º 14' N., longitude 96° 59' W. The mountains in this area border the west side of the northern extremity of the Valle de Oaxaca”
