Most projects have their own name for the Village Pump (e.g. the Water Cooler at Wikinews, Scriptorium at Wikisource and Staff Lounge at Wikibooks). Wikispecies ought to consider it as well. The Watering Hole? Tuf-Kat 07:50, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)

'Village Pump' - a great name. It suggests to me getting into the 'field' where species live, and then meeting up with others to remember the day's highlights. (Isn't 'Watering hole' about beer and forgetting.) Stanskis 06:48, 17 July 2005 (UTC)

Not a big fan of renaming long existing named objects, it tends to create confusion. Sometimes it is necessary for one reason or another, sometimes there is a real desire for it among a vast majority of a community. Without good cause I would be against this at this time. Some Village Pump archive pages not linked

As of writing, Village Pump only displays the first 49 archive pages, and not 50 or 51 for some reason. Can this be fixed? Monster Iestyn (talk) 11:08, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
