• Type: N. Wallich Cat. 6270 pro parte (April 1821, in flower; Possible lectotype: K-W [​K001123487^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}, "Rondeletia appendiculata Wall. Makole, April 1821", with "W. paniculata" erased and annotated "stipules of paniculata, flowers of puberula"]; "ISOLECTOTYPE": BM [​BM000945076^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]; "holotype of Wendlandia": K [​K000030927^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]).
  • Note: Cowan (1932: 311) noted that Wallich's Cat. No. 6270 consists of 5 sheets of W. appendiculata distributed to Herb. Wall. (a specimen with "Rondeletia appendiculata Wall. Makole (?) April 1821", with "W. paniculata" erased and annotated "stipules of paniculata, flowers of puberula"), Herb. Kew. (2 sheets), Herb. Calcutt. [​CAL0000010652 (198981) or CAL0000010653 (198982)] and Brit. Museum ("lower specimen only"); other 5 ones are type materials of W. puberula G.Don.
