Carthamus lanatus
editThe way to change taxonavigation sections is to edit the appropriate cascading templates. Can you provide a reference for the statement you made at Talk:Carthamus lanatus? Our help pages explain how, and why, the templates are used. Koumz (talk) 13:52, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
Carthamus lanatus
.......
Familia: Asteraceae
Subfamilia: Cichorioideae >>>>>>>> THERE IS NO Cichorioideae BUT Carduoideae (and this is as the day and the night...)
Tribus: Cardueae
Subtribus: Centaureinae
Genus: Carthamus
........
So, how do I EDIT Carthamus (or another) genus TEMPLATE? Thanks. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Philmarin (talk • contribs) 17:54, 13 January 2012.
- You would change Template:Cardueae so that it says {{Carduoideae}} instead of {{Cichorioideae}} Koumz (talk) 18:05, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Since this is a wiki and anyone can say anything (we don't know if you're a trained botanist or not), we rely on references to make changes. Can you give a reference for the paper where the name Carduoideae was established? Koumz (talk) 18:13, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, indeed.--Philmarin (talk) 18:52, 13 January 2012 (UTC) - PS: I'am a sufficiently trained Botanist..., but NOT a fairly trained «wikipedist»...

Autopatroller
editDear Philmarin, You have been granted autopatrolled user rights, which may be granted to experienced Wikispecies users who have demonstrated an understanding of Wikispecies policies and guidelines. In addition to what registered users can do, autopatrollers can have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol). The autopatrol user right is intended to reduce the workload of new page patrollers and causes pages created by autopatrolled users to be automatically marked as patrolled. For more information, read Wikispecies:Autopatrollers.
This user has autopatrolled rights on Wikispecies. (verify) |
As an autopatroller you may use the autopatroller user box on your user page. That is of course optional, but if you like it you can copy and paste the following code on your user page: {{User Autopatroller}}

Chloantheae
edit@Philmarin: Your view of the above tribe is not accepted by all authorities - see my additions on its discussion page. It is telling that Olmstead, who was an author of the 2009 paper is not an author on the 2011 paper. In addition, see Olmstead et al., (2012) as well as Govaerts et al. (2015). It is accepted policy that WS does not take one side or another where there are disputes out there in the wild, so I feel that you need to somehow present the alternative views on the Pityrodia and other pages that you have recently edited. This can be achieved in a number of different ways, any thoughts? Hopefully you agree that modifications should be made, as I do not want to get into any more edit wars! Regards Andyboorman (talk) 15:45, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- I have re-added some of the images you added. I will make up a couple of templates of your papers as well. We do not want to loose information afteral. Hope I have not caused too much angst! Regards and thanks Andyboorman (talk) 17:17, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- When I have a query with WCSP I contact Govaerts vis email - they are really good at replying and give reasoned answered, worth a try? Conn is an expert but maybe Ozcentric, Kew etc, is broader - see also Dryandra/Banksia controversy. Agree leave it for now, as when experts disagree WS should take the most conservative/traditional view I guess? Happy New Year anyway. Andyboorman (talk) 18:04, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
