• Type locality: Nepean 1 borehole, Nepean Peninsula, southern Victoria, southeastern Australia.
• Type horizon: Port Phillip Basin, between 184.4 and 201.2 m below surface, Fyansford Formation, Mitchellian, Late Miocene, Tertiary, Cenozoic.
