Type locality: Canada, British Columbia, Queen Charlotte Islands, Moresby Island, Tasu Sound, off West coast of Island. 52°39′30″N 132°37′59″W / 52.6583°N 132.633°W / 52.6583; -132.633. Depth 2904 m.

Holotype: USNM 22603 [1].
