  • Paratypes: CAS 34930 (1), 236420 (1).

Type locality: NW of Baltazar Island, Marinduque, Philippines, ca. 13°23’N, 121°79’E [1], 163–168 fa. (298–307 m) depth.

Etymology: The species is named after shark enthusiast Lana Ebert on the occasion of her graduation from the University of San Francisco.
