  • Holotype: MZUSP 110910.
  • Paratypes: 12.

Type locality: Paraguai River, subdistrict of Albuquerque, district of Corumbá, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, 19º41’S, 57º38’W.

Etymology: The species is named after biologist Amanda Lucas Gimeno, who was an undergraduate colleague of the first author.
