Holotype: SRSIO JL–Dive 81 sponge 02 (Spicules and sections: XMU02000 676), collected by Chunsheng Wang on 25 July 2014.

Type locality: “Northwestern Pacific Ocean (Lat. 15.6829°N, Long. 154.9236°E), depth 1627 m”.
