Parategastes G.O. Sars, 1904

Type species: Amymone sphaerica Claus, 1863 (type by original designation)

Etymology: From Ancient Greek παρά (pará, next to) + the genus name Tegastes, referring to the fact that the species has a general form of body resembling the genus Tegastes.
