Holotype: MGUH 30236.

Type locality: Fakse, Denmark; pockets of unconsolidated sediment within azooxanthellate coral bioherms, Tylocidaris bruennichi Zone, middle Danian, Paleocene.

Paratypes: NHMM 2012 050-2012 057.

Etymology: from Dendrophyllia Blainville 1830 and from Latin suffixe -cola (residing on).
