- Holotype: MMNS 5603, lateral tooth crown.
- Paratypes: MMNS 5310.1, complete lateral tooth, 3264.1, large tooth cusp; SC 2012.48.8, incomplete anterior tooth crown, 2012.48.9, anterolateral tooth crown.
Type locality: along low banks on the south side of Luxapalila Creek in Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi, USA.
Etymology: The species name alludes to the numerous longitudinal ridges occurring on the labial (and particularly) lingual crown faces.
