Hydrolagus africanus (Gilchrist, 1922)

  • Syntypes: (several) whereabouts unknown.

Type locality: Off coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, southwestern Indian Ocean, Pickle station 156, depth 324 fathoms.

Etymology: –anus, belonging to: Africa, known only from off the coasts of Natal and Kenya. From The ETYFish Project.
