Himantura chaophraya Monkolprasit & Roberts, 1990

Type locality: Chao Phraya River, Bang Sai District, Ayutthaya Province, Thailand.

Holotype: female by Kittipong Jaruthanin.

Etymology: specific name after the Chao Phraya River, from which the type series was collected.
