Holotype: NSMT Cr-18237, ♀, dissected and mounted on two glass slides, 28 August 1997.
Type locality: Honmyo-gawa River mouth (32° 53’ 02” N, 130° 08’ 10” E) in a detention pond of Isahaya Bay, Kyushu, Japan.
Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the primary distribution of the species along the coast of the East Asian continent.
