Gender: feminine
- Status: valid genus
  - Type species: Gomphodella maia De Deckker, 1981
    - Remarks: In his publication of 1981 De Deckker mentioned 'masculine' as gender of Gomphodella. However, as that name is a combination of parts of the generic names Gomphocythere and Cytheridella which both are feminine in gender, the name Gomphodella has to be taken as feminine in gender, too.
