- Holotype: Female carapace (Pl. 1, fig. 1 ) deposited in the collections of the Geology Department, Faculty of Science, University of Isfahan, Isfahan, Iran.
- Type locality: 7 km SW of Gerdbisheh village (besides Borujen-Lordegan road) about 48 km S of Borujen. Lower part of the Tarbur Formation, Upper Maastrichtian.
- Etymology: From the Zagros Mountains, type area.
