Type locality: “Southern end of Yucatan Channel, 20°45’N, 86°27’W, 933-1,024 m, Alaminos Sta. 70A10-6”.

Holotype: USNM E18324, collected by Texas A&M University research vessel Alaminos on 6 July 1970.
