Type locality: TURKEY: Vil. Şanlıurfa, Nusaybin, bridge over the Çağ Çağ Deresi, 37.09°N, 41.215°E, 470 m alt., 4.8.1988, leg. E. Neubert.
Etymology: This species is called paucidentatus (Latin = poor in teeth) reflecting the reduced dentition of this species.
