- Holotype: NIBR, INBRIV0000245083, ♂, 6 June 2008.
- Type locality: Station MAP-08 in the Korea Strait, ca. 100 km south of Jeju Island, (Fig. 1C), 32°21.59’N 126°46.32’E, from mud at 113 m depth, mounted in Fluoromount G.
- Etymology: The species name microaperturus refers to the minute openings of the glandular cell outlets type 2 that make it easy to recognize the species.
