Holotype: GZG.INV.78718
Type locality: Plettenberg near Balingen, Germany; clay pockets between sponge associations in the lowest bed exposed in the quarry, Bimammatum Zone, late Oxfordian, Late Jurassic.
Paratypes: GZG.INV.78719 and GZG.INV.78720.
Etymology: named after Carl, a friend of the author.
