- Type locality: MADAGASCAR: Antsiranana, south-west of Cap d’Ambre (12.133°S 48.933°E), -238–249 m, Campagne Miriky, st’n DW3196, dredged, 28.vi.2009
- Etymology: Named for Prof. Philippe Bouchet (MNHN), well-known malacologist and co-ordinator of numerous important dredging expeditions.
