Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, Florida Keys, Hawaii, Indian Ocean (Pillai, 1954, Pires, 1982, Kensley & Schotte, 1989, 2002).

Habitat

Shallow-water marine benthic species: from intertidal to 8 m depth (Kensley & Schotte, 1989, 2002). Inhabits algae, seagrasses, surface of mangrove roots (Markham et al, 1990).
