- Holotype: SGO PV.22011, an almost complete left mandibular.
- Paratypes: SGO PV.22012a, b, two incomplete right mandibular plates, PV.22012c, one anterior portion of a right palatine, PV.22012d, one incomplete left palatine, PV.22012e, one concretionary nodule containing one partial right palatine.
Etymology: The specific name honours Dr. Teresa Torres (Universidad de Chile), for more than twenty years of contribution to Antarctic palaeobotany, and her continuous support to new generations of Chilean palaeontologists, including some of the authors.
