Name

Bathyraja pacifica Last et al., 2016

• Holotype: NMNZ P39707.

Type locality: western Norfolk Ridge, New Zealand (35°37’ S, 169° 5’ E), RV Tangaroa, NORFANZ TAN 0308/167, demersal trawl, 1760–1789 m depth.

Etymology: Epithet based on the distribution of this species near the western rim of the Pacific Ocean.
