- Type locality: Tasmania, Australia: Damper Cave, 43°30'S, 146°35'E, Precipitous Bluff, 90 km SW of Hobart, Site A, main stream, 30 m from entrance, 14 May 2011 (dissected on one slide), collected by R. and S. Eberhard, G. Perina, S. Catomore.
- Etymology: The species is named after its type locality.
