Type locality: The Isle of Rügen, northeast Germany; white chalk facies of late Early Maastrichtian age (sumensis, cimbrica and fastigata belemnite zones).
Fossil range: Early Maastrichtian
Holotype: MnhnL OPH083, a dissociated lateral arm plate.
Paratypes: Tow dissociated lateral arm plates, MnhnL OPH084 and OPH085.
