• Type locality: Caribbean Sea, Curacao, towed to Jan Thiel Bay. 12.0746°N 68.8825°W / 12.0746; -68.8825. Depth 285–294 m.
• Holotype: USNM 1463102 [1].
• Paratypes: USNM 1463104 [2]; USNM E18595 [3].
• Etymology: named after Carole C. Baldwin.
