- Holotype: NM Lc 125, nearly complete right central head shield plate.
Type locality: Red Quarry near Suchomasty (Czech Karst, Czech Republic).
Etymology: From the Latin rufus (= red) after the colour of the limestone as well as the name of the type locality – the Red Quarry (Červený lom).
