Welcome to Wikispecies!

Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome!

Seeds

edit

Please have a look at the templates section above. Information on seeds should be on wikipedia and not on wikispecies. Thanks Lycaon 18:20, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I thought i had put it in the wrong place, I see the taxanomic order now. I thought it would add to the taxonomy not deter from it, apologies. Shall I put it in the wikipedia only or shall i, as you did, put info in the Talk page?? Wayne Ray LinneausHoff 22:24, 18 September 2006 (UTC)LinneausHoffReply
Hi. The information is interesting and important, as such I think more people would benefit from it on Wikipedia than in the talk pages of Wikispecies. Through the vernacular name links or interwiki links, the info should stay connected. This links would ideally be reciprocated in Wikipedia. Lycaon 05:41, 19 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, it was my only interest in joining species as I had at one time, the largest private seed collection and herbariun in southern Ontario. Thanks, I will move the material over and hope I can contribute here sometime. LinneausHoff 13:05, 19 September 2006 (UTC)LinneausHoffReply
