Hi, I have reverted your edit for which you wrote [quote]using smithi Bates in combination with Trogellus is incorrect. The name Aesalus smithi Bates is a synonym. It is not moved to Trogellus.[unquote], for the following reason: You would be correct if this was botany, but not for zoology (ICZN code). In zoology, synonyms are automatically combined with the genus that their senior synonym is placed in. To see this, note that a new species called Trogellus smithi would automatically be a junior homonym of the old smithi, without anyone having to do a "formal" recombination of the old smithi with Trogellus. There are pros and cons of this difference from botany, but there you go. Stho002 (talk) 04:31, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

PS: Please give me time to write the above message before reverting my edit. Next time will be a warning! Thanks Stho002 (talk) 04:32, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

PS2: If you are not convinced, then pls start a discussion about it, and pls don't just revert again. Thanks, Stho002 (talk) 04:39, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
