Hello. For no other reason than my own personal nerdyness, I have begun compiling an "animal directory" of sorts on my PC, with vernacular names, proper names, and photos, arranged in a vaguely taxonomic way. I was delighted to stumble across wikispecies, and it has been a great help. Then I started noticing, some of the entries are incomplete....and hey, look...there's an "edit" link here...well, you get the picture. I started meddling, but with the best of intentions. Since I am not a trained scientist of any kind, and I know how treacherous copyright laws can be, I have restricted myself to adding vernacular names where I can, and the odd spelling correction here and there.
