Hi, this is the page where I should present myself.
I'm Frodlekis, previously editing by the name Svenji, a Swedish 30-something Wiktionarian living in Spain. At some point, I had contributed so much on Swedish Wiktionary that they made me an admin. At the time, it was possibly a decision taken so I could correct my own typos, but nonetheless it was and is an honour, and I take pride in making the Wikiworld richer and hopefully more inclusive. It is evident that pobody's nerfect, and I believe in learning by doing. My main desire with he work I put in here is that someone will feel inspired, enlightened, and more confident in their terminology from what I've made.
I have a very wide range of interests, so you will perhaps find me dabbing into various fields. From onomastics, dancing, folklore and mythology, modern technology, geography, human rights and prehistoric times. But perhaps the he subject closest to my heart is language history. Now that I'm a in my mid-thirties, I start to feel like I'm collecting universities rather than university credit. There's just too much knowledge to tie me to one subject. Aside from English, Swedish and Spanish, In my younger years I studied and worked with French, but that is pretty dormant not. More active language studies include Yiddish, Catalan, linguistics, onomastics, and Swedish language planning (”språkvård”).
To think that we are an organism that tamed fire, then electricity, now interconnected in a web where thousands of us, like ants to their stack, simultaneously and globally build this giant book collecting all public knowledge - by the public for the publc - for free? It's a wonderful idea, don't you think? I believe our readers normally search for very basic facts (short but clear definitions), as well as grammatical use. My entries should in the best of days include all the information needed to grasp the unknown, for a newbie or a nerd
Okay, I'm already tired of everything I just wrote. Also, I like tacos and micheladas. Time to stop writing this text and go back to creating ~epic entries~. Bye!
